The Mobile Network Hardening Program is an Australian Government initiative funding upgrades to improve the resilience of Australia's mobile network telecommunications infrastructure in regional and peri-urban Australia. It supports measures to prevent outages and strengthen the resilience of telecommunications facilities to allow them to operate for longer during natural disasters, as well as support the rapid restoration of services following an outage.

The Australian Government is providing $14.2 million (GST exclusive) for 386 projects under Round 2 of the MNHP to strengthen the resilience of telecommunications infrastructure in regional and remote Australia.

Under MNHP Round 2, Indara will mobilise two Disaster Recovery Skids in partnership with mobile network operators to help maintain connectivity during crises. These transportable, self-contained mobile communication sites are designed & constructed for rapid deployment to maintain network coverage during outages, post-disaster recovery or site relocations. They can also be used to enhance or expand network capacity during major events, minimising downtime and service disruption. The Skids are ready for deployment in New South Wales and Victoria.
